Nigeria is the most populous nation in Africa and it has the highest number of language diversity.
in Nigeria a lot of the populace still live in rural areas and some of the cities are often over populated . well this is not a minus for Nigeria at least in the view of an archaeologist.
out of the populous lot so many potential exist and have always existed.
Today I will be talking about a site located in Nigeria, this is a personally visited site.
Iyemogun is located in the outskirt of Ilesha a town of south western yoruba land well known for its antiquity and long existence as the seat of one of the Yoruba's prominent rulers. The Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesha land.
Iyemogun has a population of less than five hundred residents, but this village is rich in culture as it represents what a yoruba village may have looked liked in the early colonial days apart from the use of coagulated iron ruffing sheets as building covers, the houses in this village are built in the ancient African style, and children can be seen playing on the streets with barely any form of clothing on them. Several things distinguish this village and makes it a central point of interest as we will discuss later
